Royal Oak Adult Education (ROAE) is an authorized GED® (General Education Development) test center. A High School Equivalency (HSE) certificate is granted by the Michigan Department of Education upon completion of all sections of the GED®.

How to Register
Step 1: Create a GED Account
Create an account or log in to your existing account at GED.com
Purchase a voucher for the official GED test through your GED account.
Step 2: Schedule Your Test
After purchasing your voucher, register for your testing appointment at:

You will be able to select the testing date and time that works best for you.
GED Test Information
The GED consists of four subject tests, and you do not need to complete all four on the same day.
- Cost: $43.50 per test section
- Registered Royal Oak Adult Education students may be eligible to receive a voucher for their first attempt on each section.
Eligibility Requirements
To take the GED test, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older, or
- Be 16 or 17 years old with a GED waiver signed by the Superintendent of your school district of residence.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, please contact your school district's Superintendent's Office for waiver information.

After You Pass
To obtain your certificate, register at Diploma Sender.
